Spring Season |
The spring 2007 season will begin March 31/April 1 and end June 9/10. The Coaches Meeting was held on March 8. Coaches were asked to contact players very soon. If you have not heard from your coach by March 17, please contact Mike Vilez @ 287-4307.

Player Clinics |
Player clinics start this Monday, March 26th at 6:00 pm and continues through May 21. Coaches please inform your teams and encourage all players to attend. This is a great opportunity for them to get one on one with the Drake Bulldogs players and coaches.

Sizzlin' Summer Soccerfest '07 |
The 5 th Annual Sizzlin’ Summer SoccerFest will be held May 18-20 at Soccer South. This is a great opportunity for the kids!

Registration forms are available at Soccer Connections, the Soccer House, or you can get them on online at our website at www.soccersouthdsm.org.

Volunteers
We are in great need of volunteers for this awesome event. If you’d like to volunteer in the concession stand, as a field marshal, on the tournament committee, etc - please call Kevin Christiansen @ 287-2232.
Additional Info
All teams will be guaranteed 3 games (and possibly a 4th) with all team members receiving medals or trophies for participating. All games will be played on Saturday and Sunday. Friday will only be used if we have an overflow of teams. No games will start before 6:00 PM on Friday.

| U14 players from Soccer South Soccer Club place first! |
The inagural Menace Futsal Tournament took place on January 13-14, 2007 despite weather conditions. The snow held off until Sunday but all teams stayed to compete.
In the U14 boys bracket the CRSA U14 Premier faced off against SSSC Metro United. It was an intense game that ended in overtime and eventually a sudden death shoot out. SSSC Metro United came away with the trophy after capitalizing on their penalty shot. |

Picture Day |
The date for individual and team pictures is
set for Saturday,
April 14. Please note that the pictures will be taken at the Soccer South Soccer
Club Complex, as long as it does not rain. If the weather is bad on April 14 – then the picture location on that day will be at the Soccer House located just off the Highway 5 by-pass.

Coaches/Parents Clinics |
March 26-27, Sean Holmes, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Drake University, will conduct free coaches’ clinics during the Nightly Player Clinics the week of 3/26. The clinics will be held at Soccer South from 6pm to 6:30pm (while the players are involved in the player clinic). U6 Coaches Clinic is on Monday and U8 & above Coaches Clinic is on Tuesday.
